By now, I'm sure you've heard about the recent murder in Neon, suspected to be the work of the criminals Barry the Chopper and Gluttony. While assisting Greg Sanders in processing the scene, I noticed that many of the agents who arrived on scene were young or did not have the training to handle both the practical and emotional tasks involved in ( Read more... )

That would be helpful, actually. Commander Satsuma, what do you think?

Perhaps someone well-versed in crime scene investigations may be just what we need right now. If anything, it'll give us an idea of what we're dealing with and how we'll deal with it.

If he needs any assistance, give it to him.

Very well, sir.

Grissom-san, you have your answer.

All right. I'll start classes in a few days, just to give everyone a chance to recover somewhat from everything. Greg Sanders may help teaching, if he wants to and feels up to it.

Both of them?

I'm sorry, Winry, but judging from the reports, it looks like it was both of them.

...Please don't let them transfer Ed. Please. I can't do this alone.

I'm sorry, but it's out of my hands. But I can offer a suggestion to Alex and Touma that Ed be allowed to commute between Royal Base and Neon at least as long as this crisis lasts.

Um... I'm just wondering. Would you like someone who can help deal with the emotional response of a crime scene? I may not know anything how they work, but I can try my best to help others with emotional things.

Yes, any kind of psychological help would be greatly appreciated. I know from experience how difficult this is to handle, and the words we're trained to offer don't help much.

Shall do!

Is there anyone who was directly effected by how it was painted?

From everything I've heard, Sabine Alshire is going to need the most help. She found the scene, and when we arrived, she was catatonic.

As for the others, you may want to check with the remaining investigators who arrived on scene. Many of them were very young and not at all used to such a grisly sight.

I'm interested. I'm kind of young, I know, but I want to learn.

All right. We still need to figure out when and where to hold classes, but I'll make sure to keep you on the roster.

... This may be something that all DATS Agents should have a basic understanding in actually.

Or at least the basics of "Don't Touch Anything".

Very true. It's not always going to be an investigation team arriving to the scene first, and especially in those cases, the scene will need to be secured.
