I would LOVE to have you guys in Eugene, but if that doesn't work out, of course I'll be in my dented little red car on the way to Portland in a flash. :)

I'd really like to see Eugene, if only for a bit of contrast and option. Let me investigate a bit and see if it can be done.

If it can, do we need to rent a car, or is there a bus/train that will get us there fairly inexpensively?

Fun, fun, fun.

There are both buses and trains, but the trains - though nicer - are spendy and notoriously unreliable (I think there's one that's usually on time, but I can't remember which). I think it'd be worth it to check out both the Greyhound and Amtrak bus fares and compare them with renting a car; either would work, but it's sort of the choice between stinky bus and spendier car. :)

Hell's yeah. I am ON it! All we have to do is convince Paul to sell his house to them when they want to buy and POOF! it is done.

Stacey - just think - you could mind the little dog group whilst looking for better more gainful (i.e. mo $$$) employment... ya know. just sayin'.

Well, I have a houseguest till the 24th, but I might be able to squeeze in a day trip on the 25th or 26th. Another friend is supposed to be moving to Seattle soon, too, so I might have double the reason to head down. I'll see if I get my "border crossing in a reasonable time frame" pass by then...

That would be teh awesome!

I know there is much love for you in Philly but the PNW is pretty sweet. And having you guys nearby could increase the visitation to the general area :p
