WOW. Just...wow. So beautiful, so much history! I can't even imagine seeing such things in person. The cathedral is so beautiful and the sculptures, incredible...and the tombs of Michelangelo and Dante...I can't even imagine being there. Thank you so much for sharing these. Florence is definitely in my top ten places I'd like to visit! Absolutely beautiful.

Btw, if you don't mind my asking, do you have these photographs in a public file anywhere? I have a friend who is an Art History student and I think it would really benefit her to see these.

p.s. You and Dante! Eeee.

Btw too, I remember a few weeks back you posted a couple of pics from Italy, of the street where you stayed, etc. It was so beautiful, like a postcard! I meant to tell you how much I liked those but things got crazy and the post got buried.

Unfortunately we havent been inside of any museum or cathedral in Florence, only inside that huge first one. That's why I want to go back there, Ive bought a book about Florence and all the treasures we've not seen.

I can unlock this post if your friend wants to have a look.

Wow, thanks! But only if you're completely comfortable with doing that, okay? If not, that's totally cool. :)

Florence, truly a beautiful city. It's been many years since I visited it (and loved it more than Rome or Venice because the weather was so much more pleasant).

Lovely photos.

The weather was the same in Florence as in Rome - scorching. But I can see how it stays in your memory.
