So this Mama did not quite deliver, despite name of Guilermo del Toro in its credits. The trailer was three times spooker than the movie itself: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2023587/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1Read more... )

Duh, I think I am done with The Following. I am infinitely bored with that maniac guy being turned into a Demon of some kind, and that son of his is just a stupid kid (imo). It is too convenient of a plot device that every person on screen can turn out to be his follower.

I got bored with Ripper Stret too. Did you watch Downton Abbey? I stopped after season one but it has been awarded loads since then and maybe I should tune in again. Or Game of Thrones?

I do check spn_g still but it has turned beyond ridiculous, surrogates, dates of conception, Jared taken every pic Jensen is in and of course Cliff. The latter imo is most off putting, and how suddenly he is the mouthpiece of Jensen and the baby. I do wonder how can some folks root for them w/o a doubt.

American Horror Story Asylum is awesome. I think I like it even better than season 1. It has its moments, like all shows, but still an A, imo.

Are eps as one-plots eps or a continuous plt like in season one and that's why I stopped watching. It was far over the top.

Well, while season 1 was about the House, even though season 2 is set in an asylum the main focus is the characters. There are different things going on each week, but each character also has their main plot line that gets focused on. So it's not all hey, you're in a haunted house, booo I'm a ghost. While I liked it enough to stick around, I did think season 1 was a bit dull. But there's a lot going on in season 2, where even if you don't like character(s) or plot(s), I think they're something you could look past and still have a lot left over. There was a storyline for one of the characters I felt didn't actually fit in with the Asylum theme and would have been best if they'd saved it for another season, and while it did carry on throughout the season and into the finale, I watched the scenes but there were plenty of other characters and their tales that I liked better and it wasn't so bad that I turned the channel and quit the show ( ... )

Okay, it sounds complicated enough and probably worth to check out when I am bored our of weekly fodder as Person Of Interest, The Following et cetera. Thank you!
