Your teams are failures.

[ Burch has been hogging the television in the main room all morning and afternoon. After many screams and fits thrown, his last hope game has come to an end. ]

NO! Goddamn you! No!

[ He falls to his knees dramatically, throwing his hands up towards the ceiling, as if begging whatever football gods will bother to hear his plea. His next ( Read more... )

Sure making a whole bunch of noise over nothing.

Over nothing? [ Take it easy, this pleb obviously doesn't understand the finer points of football rivalries. ]

You don't know what you're talking about.

[ This isn't a too unfamiliar display. Right now, the Vikings don't even exist to her. Of course, it's all Sven's fault... (it's always Sven's fault). But at least she has Hockey. Which is another sport Minnesota loves yet fails at. Aaanyways-

She's just looking around the corner curiously, an eyebrow raised. ]

Ya got bad luck der too?

[ Burch almost has a hernia at the sound of that accent, but quickly gets over it when he sees Minnesota. He sighs dramatically, motioning towards the television. ]

Goddamn teams gotta motherfuckin' break your heart every year.

[ He figures Minnesota would understand, so he doesn't mind letting some of his frustration off of his chest. ]

[ Her accent has a tenancy to do that. ]

Aw... I'm awful sorry Burch. Sports teams, ya know? They get yer spirits up and crush 'em to da ground. Though, sometimes I cheer for other people's teams, ya know? ... if I like them well enough.

[ Shrug. He appreciates the sympathy, though he'll never admit it. ]

I only cheer for other teams if I don't have a team in a division or if I really want revenge on some goddamn team. [ Glances at Minnesota. Smirk. ] Sometimes that's difficult, though.

[ Just this face, plus all his cheering.

Enjoy. ]

[ Would enjoy nothing more than pummeling that face into the floor.

In fact, he's going to try that right now. Or, rather, he's going to try to wring North's scrawny neck. ]

[ Struggling! ]

The hell-Burch, I already died once!

Oh, fuck!

[ Burch immediately drops North. Damn you, why did you have to remind him of that? Now, in his mind, he's comparing himself to whatever asshole killed his neighbors. ]

I didn't mean it!

You should fix that. [[a small motion towards the remote.]]

grizzlyland December 5 2010, 20:33:25 UTC
[ His eyes move from the remote for a second to glance at Alaska. ]

Don't tell me what to do. I was planning on fixin' it anyway [ He grabs the remote out of the wall anyway. Now he's going to fix things. ALY WHAT HAVE YOU DONE. ]

Just saying. [[she watches, raising a brow. SHE HAS NO IDEA.]]

[ He pulls the remote apart, taking out the batteries first, and then forcing the two faces of the remote apart and pulling out the piece that held all the buttons. He takes a part of the technology workings of the remote out as well, and then throws all of the pieces on the floor. He then sticks his fist into the wall and pulls out a chunk of the Sheetrock--a piece much larger than the original hole. ]

Let me go get some spackling, and I'll be right back. [ He takes off for a good five minutes, returning with a bucket and a flat, metal tool. ]

Harsh.

[ He just stands there with his arms crossed, staring between the television and the remote now wedged into the wall. ]

[ Glares at South. ]

You would stick up for him. Goddamned cheaters.

I not stickin' up for him, I'm just sayin'.

Plus it's more like dumb luck knowin' North.

grizzlyland December 5 2010, 22:28:00 UTC
[ Grins. ] Yeah, dumb luck. [ Because he's so dumb, his mind adds. Burch snickers a bit at his own joke. ]

And here I was figurin' you'd be proud of your little idiot.
