Billy, Don't Be a Hero

[ Burch was drying out in the sun, waiting patiently for someone to alert him on the radio. He had swore to stay in the Yellowstone room, but if they really needed his help retaining the Dakotas to get them some help, Burch would be out in a second. Gabe was in the room somewhere. Burch hadn't seen him since he arrived ( Read more... )

As the type of person James was, he had thought and planned this expedition out to a ridiculous detail. He had prepared each member of his party with weapons and torches, rope, bandages, antibacterial solution in case of wounds, everything you could think they would need. Oh, and beer for Burch. That was very important, too.

"Mr. Burch said they were by the library, stick close and keep an eye out, the Dakota's may be injured but they are still infected and dangerous.." He cautioned, not wanting any mishaps on this mission. He couldn't much bare the drama anymore, really.

Yeah, why am I doing this again? [Liam's trailing behind, pickaxe in one hand and six-pack in the other. He seemed loose and relaxed as he walked, but there was a hint of tenseness in his face. The kind of tenseness that meant, state or not, any zombie was getting a pickaxe swung at their face.]

As much as he would have preferred to just stay unconscious for the rest of his life, he found it hard to sleep through his injuries. Waking up a little (And to his great pleasure with no zombie in sight), he groaned in pain and curled up before picking up the sounds of foot steps. Logan didn't think they sounded very zombie-esque...

"H-hello," he called out hoarsely. "'E-ey...if som'ne's there..."

Kate nodded and followed close but not too close. The little rescue party was just the adventure she needed to keep her overly aware to her surroundings. The pistol was ready and easily amiable for her and she knew what she had to do if the situation called for it. She hoped the things she had brought with her would be enough. With the sound of a voice swirling through her adrenalin pumped ears she directly to James and Bill. "Did you hear something?" she whispered in an almost inaudible tone.

"B...Burch!" Came James, the radio signal adjusting. "Mr. Burch! Are you there? We're outside the library, it seems the Dakota's are alone here, where are you and Wisconsin? Are you there Burch?"

[ Burch hesitated to answer. He didn't want to make it sound like he had been waiting for the call, because he had, and that would be embarrassing. ]

Yeah. I'm here. They're still breathing, aren't they? [ Going to ignore the question of their location. ]

James looked over to the group of three that were dealing with the two.

"I-I don't know, it seems one is moving, the other seems worse off..." James digressed, he really wasn't concerned over the Dakota's.

"We brought bandages and some medicine to make sure any wounds don't get infected." He added. "Where are you, Burch? I owe you that beer, right?"

You got bandages? Just a minute. Let me get Wisconsin. [ Some rustling and a few minutes later, Burch returns. ]

Here, ask him about his wounds. [ Tosses the radio to Wisconsin. ]

[ooc: Wisconsin will continue this log with you, Utah, until he gives the radio back to Burch. That can be whenever you guys want it to be. I'll be watching. :D ]

[ Goes over to where the Dakotas are still located. ]

You assholes aren't dead yet? Am I gonna need to get the duct tape back out? [ Oh, shit. He left that in the Yellowstone room with this tattered coat and shirt. ]

Seth chuckled in a low tone, "Oh your sense of humor~ Because you know, I was really thinking of getting up and frolicking around like a retard in a rose patch." He was smiling about it as he rolled onto his back to get a better look, finally able to see through one of his commands.

Logan, too, was smiling. Actually smiling, even. Who knew why he was so happy to see the Montanan, as he probably couldn't help much more than the others were managing too, but he was glad all the same. Completely ignoring what the man had said, he tried to scoot towards the man, wincing as he remembered he really couldn't.

"M-Monty!"

[ Just stares at Seth. Sense of humor? He wasn't funny. ] You look like shit. Are you going to get your ass up and get some of your wounds cleaned?

Hey, Ole. [ Now he gives Logan the once-over. ] You look like shit too. Guess that grenade got you pretty good.

((OOC: Hey, sorry if this is rushing you guys, but James needs to get back to the blockade for the vaccine testing. Lets get everything/everyone packed up here and moved, whatever posting order works to get everyone out as fast as possible, please..!))

James, now shirtless and feeling awkward as all hell, wanted to get out of here. Badly. He looked at the group, who seemed ready to pack up and leave by now.

"Everybody please get everything..! And... everyone, ready for the travel back..! I'm afraid we've taken far to much time... The blockade is expecting us back, I would hate for them to be any more shorthanded then they already are..."

Let's get the hell out of here, then! [Liam seems to have cheered up significantly since James wound up without a shirt. Also, the idea of leaving for the safe blockade was a plus.]

James glanced to William, glad, atleast, the man hadn't immediately started after him. James thought a moment, frowned, and realized he'd have to walk back into the blockade without a shirt. Plus, that was most inappropriate for Ms. Henry who was waiting for him.

"M-Mr. Wayne..?" He asked, perhaps... no... maybe. He wanted something.
