It's SO Hot!

So this weekend was unexpectedly hot. The weather skipped right over the 70s and 80s and went straight to the low-90s. The house, as a result, is also hot, though I have turned on our a/c in our bedroom (there's nothing worse than trying to sleep in a sweltering room

sounds like a fun time. i found out recently that libraries don't do sales in Japan. it was a culture shock. I hope you got some good books.

I didn't know that you'd found a place to move to until this post. what's it like?

It's a small townhouse, three levels. The kitchen and the bathroom have been recently renovated, so they are nice and new and clean. (Our new landlord is pretty good about updating and cleaning her properties after tenants move out.) There's plenty of storage space (under the basement stairs, in the laundry/utility room, and in the 2nd bedroom closet). It also comes with a fireplace on the basement floor - I don't know if we'll ever use it, but it's nice to have. There's a half-bath in the basement and a master bath on the 2nd floor (where the two bedrooms are). There are plenty of trees in the neighborhood and it feels pretty secluded even though a major shopping area is just a few intersections away. We plan on staying (hopefully) for a few years, so eventually you'll see it. ^_^ We're still figuring out how we're going to arrange everything, but we still have a few weeks left to plan.
