So, I have pink eye. Apparently, when you have a common cold, sleeping in your contacts (something I NEVER do) should be avoided at all costs. The excitement and nervousness is palpable. I love election year. Hoping for change!!!! Everywhere I go, there are Obama and NoBama signs, McCain and Palin, Norm Coleman signs in a yard next to ones with Obama and Biden, and Al Franken signs. So far my trip has been less than worthy. But now that classes have started, it reminded me how much I really am here for the classes. Oi. Sometimes, I just don't know!

So I've been back in Madison for 3 weeks now, sans Jenn. And it blows. This is the longest we've been apart in 3 years and I miss her like crazy. I'll see her next week but when I am in Amsterdam, there will be no reprieve from the 6 weeks alone, aside from the 5 guys I will apparently be rooming with. I thought the moment I was finished with my last final would feel like having a 1,000 lb weight lifted from my shoulders.
