( As a kid Danny would play with matches and watch as the flames licked at his skin but never hurt, would jump off the rocky cliffs that were near his grandparents' home to feel the freedom of the wind before he became an animal that could use it to survive. He never really thought about telling or showing his Ohana in Hawaii about all of this. At least not until he was pushed into it. )

Ohh, I liked that! The AU is really intriguing and I loved the Chin/Danny relationship.

WOW. this. this this this this <33 thank you so much!!! I love these two together and the way Chin just accepts Danno and thinks of him as "his" right from the get go. I love the way you incorporated magic - flawless! I have to admit the second Danny turned into a bat i had a brief fern gully moment and squealed a bit.

Ferngully!! God it's been forever since I've seen that movie! I'm so glad you love it. It was quite the rocky start, I didn't know who to pair Danny with or what type of animal to make him or what the explanation for it should all be ( I did a bit of research, I figured you'd definitely want some of that, especially with your request). And then it all just kinda poured out and it was like my hands couldn't stop but also wouldn't move fast enough at the same time.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it, I had a lot of fun writing it!!

Hihi. Sorry it's been so long for my reply but RL... Yeah.
I just love AUs and Danny/Chin is a pairing that's always intrigued me. Something about the dynamic...
For this I can see Chin being supportive and rock stead, the perfect contrast for Danny's turbulent nature. It would be interesting to see what happens when the rest of the team finds out- maybe because another Elemental comes to the island and they're gunning for Danny....
