You asked for 'em.
Here they are.

The place was a rental that was foreclosed on.
It was a messy mess inside.

I cleaned and painted for 16 hours today.
-and I'll be back at it tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday.

Yay! Exciting! I love the red paint. We haven't painted yet, because it was the least of our problems. (The brady-bunch carpet Had to Go.)

Congrats again!

The red paint is good.

The floors are OK, but the walls were all band-aide color!!
Yuck!

It looked like no one had cleaned behind the stove, fridge, or washer and dryer (oh the lint!) since the house was built in '71.

The living room floor is nice hardwood. Not the laminate type, but real hardwoods. The kitchen is the vinyl fake tiles, that I'll replace in the next month or two with real tile. Bedrooms are nasty rental beige carpet. It's getting removed in the next 2-3 months and I'm undecided on what will go down.

Good floors are important.

You are welcome to visit anytime!
-that is really the only way you can see the color of the avocado green. The picture was taken with a halogen worklight, so the color looks a bit screwy.

I wanted to tie the kitchen in with the living room, so the red band around the top of the wall running down to the kitchen wall works well. I have the "taupe-chocolate" picture molding up in the living room. I'll post pictures tonight or tomorrow.

Still, so much more to do!
