Could I use this entrsy as a premise for a short story? My thesis advisor is hounding me for stories about New Orleans--I've got plenty, but I'd like to try something from a greater distance. Don't worry, I won't steal a single one of your words.

Yeah, go ahead! I don't think there is much poetic language in there worth stealing anyhow. I have a lot more details of course, if you are interested in clarifying any scenes.

Excellent. I don't think I'll need any additional clarification (again, this will be ever-so-loosely based off of your entry) but I'd love to see some pictures. That is, other than those posted on the Daily Texan website. Got any?

I think I'll call it 'Jazz Funeral'

Get back to me as soon as you can...

Yes, this was probably the most well-documented trip I have ever been on... There are a lot more pictures than in that album, but our photog has to upload everything. I will post a link on my journal when its ready!

Perfect. Was everyone on the trip involved with the newspaper, or were some of them just along for the ride? If the former, could you specify the group's ratio (i.e. 4 photogs, 2 journalists, et. al.)? Appreciate you.

We had one photographer, an editor, 2 reporters, and the rest were along for the ride. Only the photogirl and one of the reporters did any sort of work, the rest of us were basically just along for the ride.
