 so i went back to cervelo, and i met with the ceo...and we had a good chat about bikes and hwutnot.  I'm going to go back and see him on August 9th and do a presentation!  and people told me I wouldn't even get passed the secretary.  bitches.  anyway, the problem is i have to show them what i can do but i can't just give away all my ideas.  and i'

i can definetly see how hard it would be to give a presentation and not giveaway all your stuff/ideas...

Id keep it pretty general. For the most part let him know what your experience is what you have done and why you have done it... Focus on what you are best at. And leave the weak crap at home.

Have a leave behind like a business card with Cd done in PDF or Flash so they cannot print edit or use your stuff. If you make it cool enough These items will sit on their desk for days and leave em drooling eventually you will get a call.

I got a couple of portfolio and presentation books a couple of weeks back and alot of it deals with approach and how to present your stuff. Which have been a massive help.

thanks, that is definately really good advice! I must create a business card and although I don't know flash I'm sure I could create some flashy PDFs with indesign or something.

Indesign is what i used for devo's folio and its nice cause you can add hyperlink and and video's to the PDF. And everyone has PDF... You may want to add the newest version on the CD though. Make sure to optimize the images. so you dont have a bloated PDF... That Is my problem with the one i did... now ive got to go back and optimize it all.

I would also include some process stuff showing your work in various stages. Show these people how you problem solve!

i have porky fingers?? *burt into tears* haha if i picture them in their underwear and i'm feeling inferior, they'd probably look really great in their undies. but i'm actually not tthat nervous since they started off really small. they don't come off as arrogant
