Worst Roadtrip of my life

Jul 11, 2011 12:46

So, this past weekend, I decided to go on a road trip with some good friends to Los Angeles to hit up the PS party and visit some friends. Unfortunately, this turned out to be the worst, most stressful, most under planned road trip I've ever done. whoah...sorry to hear things went badly for you, but at least no loss of life and limb. Feelings can be mended, and you have a better idea of your personal limits. Additionally, you know better where you should draw the line with people. Making promises just to make someone happy if it's going to seriously stress you out, aren't worth making. Better to tell someone "no" if it's not realistic, rather than leave the open-ended "maybe" that leads you to trouble.

Glad you had some fun in there somehow.

*hugs* Poor Groggy. I'm sorry it went so poorly for you. I'm extra glad we had an awesome time at PS and at the bar now tho. :3

I find myself bending over backwards for friends at times too, and while sometimes said friends might not mean to "use" me like that...it doesn't make it suck any less. So I feel ya *hugs tight*

Thus is why I enjoy planning things to death before hand...I don't like there being any miscommunication or whatnot before things come together. I don't like confrontation and don't need people getting butt hurt (Why I keep bugging everyone about the RF/FC plans :P)

Hope that wasn't Doppler's head x.x and which ever, can be repaired =/

Why can't anybody else drive your car?

Dude, I know and realized how stressed out you were but do realize this, you had a friend who was able to drive stick and offered but you refused, howee did have his car that he could drive as well, and no one was forcing you into doing anything reckless before you assume you bent over carelessly for all us passengers. And I think "carelessly" is the wrong word to use and blame for Doppler's head, it was a honest mistake and I think your blowing it out of proportion and making it sound like a crap wasn't giving in regards to that. I appreciate and understand how used or stressed you felt, but it's called speaking up and not pitting the blame on anyone else because things could've been different other than dwelling and not saying anything about how you were holding up. Always remember its not other people's faults for certain things, it requires "communication".
