Weekend before last, just after I returned from Paris, my beloved Lucy had a health crisis. She had stopped eating just before my return - she was dehydrated and wan - thin and weak. I took her to the vet for an exam, and got meds for a possible ulcer from the NSAIDs she's been taking for years. Sunday she started vomiting and stumbling around. I

I'm so sorry Tod, having never really owned a pet/friend/family like that I can't imagine the pain. All I can say is the obvious, enjoy her company as much as you can and dwell on the happy thoughts. You gave her a magnificent life I'm sure.
