Capt. Rippetoe was killed in action in Iraq on 3 April 2003.

-that's probably what happens when you fight in a war.

Yes, it is. That is EXACTLY what happens when men of courage and honour stand up to fight in the defence of liberty and freedom. I wasn't questioning that fact that it happens at all. I was, and am, merely making my friends aware that a friend of mine was killed in action in Iraq. Russ was a great guy - really nice, friendly, and a great sense of humour. And he was a friend of mine, so I mourn his loss.
