Totally not in relation to this post, but I figured I'd take up your webspace as opposed to kristenny's!

Where in Australia did you live? I was actually born there, but I only lived there until the ripe old age of 7.5. As such, I don't remember *too* much and my Australian accent only surfaces when I'm around other Aussies. *le sigh*

Who's your neighbor? Yes, I'm nosy ;) I live in Tampa and know some of the people who work for the Lightning. Not my favorite team, even though I have season tickets for them. I'm more of a general hockey fan than anything. My hockey obsession brought me up to SC to see ECHL hockey last week, so I guess I'm a tad more fanatical than most people, but whatever! :D

I lived in the Perth area for a year (about 6 months in Fremantle and the other 6 in Cottesloe Beach, to be specific). That was all 2001. I came back to the US just before Christmas, stayed stateside for a year, and then went to New Zealand and lived in Dunedin (South Island) for 8 months, before moving to Wellington for four. And then I started my great trek - 2 months back in Australia (had to go back!), 4 months in Africa, a month in Europe, and now I'm back home. So there's more info than you asked for anyway!

My neighbour is Glen Wesley, defenseman for the 'Canes (though he had a brief stint with the Leafs a year or two ago). Really nice guy and a great family, fun to hang out with. And through him we've met other Canes players and folks.

And as you may guess, I'm just gonna go ahead and add you as a friend. You seem pretty cool anyway...

That's so awesome regarding all your travel! I lived just outside of Melbourne most of the time I was there. From there I lived in Italy and CT before finally "settling" in Tampa. I have to admit the moving itch is starting to hit me, though :) Did you do all the traveling through school, for fun, etc? Sounds more like the latter -- must have been an amazing experience!

Very cool on living next to Glen Wesley! A bum on the ice, but I've had the pleasure of meeting him before and he seems like a great guy :D LOL Of course, I should put a footnote next to my opinion to remind that while they may not be my favourite team I still am a Lightning STH... meaning there is little love lost on the 'Canes over here! But we can't all love the same teams, eh?! ;)

Anywho, I'll be adding you as a friend as well! :D
