i have a strange hobby of randomly searching for people on lj. i came across your lj and i was jsut glancing through it.

this passage is one serious text. it moved me. somehow, its strange.

You're very welcome - thank you for reading it. Like I said, I would like to get as many people to read it, and appreciate it, as possible.

Jon is now back from Europe, he's at Ft. Benning in the "ROP," the Ranger Orientation Programme. Although he's already passed Ranger school and earned his tab, there's an extra set of training he has to go through to actually be assigned to a Ranger unit, which is what he's doing. He'll be assigned to the 2nd Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment, which means he'll likely be deployed to Iraq as soon as he's done.

found your journal through South Africa community. Was just skimming through and this caught my eye. I am so glad I read it. It really moved me, to the point that my throat was burning and I was scared I might cry. Very beautiful and so true.
