Oh, goodness. Please forget that I mentioned that the chapter was a little shorter than usual! I wasn't complaining that there wasn't enough; I was saying that the chapter was fun and interesting enough to be special, even though it was shorter than usual. It was supposed to be a compliment, and I'm very sorry that it didn't come out that way!
I'm impressed that you've managed to write so often, given that you've been struggling with a sick baby and sleep deprivation for weeks on end! Please, erase all thoughts of shortness from your mind, if you can't perceive it as the compliment it was meant as. I have been, as you know, dealing with sleep deprivation, myself, and my filters are not up to their usual strength, so I'm just blathering. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!
I just wrote a whole comment that got deleted. !!!!!
Anyways, I wrote it is all good! I’d struggled where to end that chapter. I was pondering having Snape return to Hogwarts to talk to Dumbledore, but it didn’t seem to “fit”. I dithered and dithered and eventually cut that bit off. The of course as soon as I posted I thought...I’ve made a terrible mistake! It’s hard to decide where to end chapters sometimes. I like a cliffhanger, but tend to prefer wrapping my chapters up as a complete mini story.
I’m struggling with the next chapter so reading your lovely comment has given me a real boost. :))
Sleep deprivation killed my grammar, but not my writing desire... :D
