I made a deal with myself I had to finish a future chapter before I could post the current chapter. But my head was so full of zigadenus Inkstains story and characters! I couldn’t remember how my own went. Ha! Does anyone else get that?

I had to re-read some of my other stuff to get back.

I absolutely get that. In my case, it's usually a writer's style, but I've seen stuff creep in. It's the principal reason I can't read fiction when I'm actively working on my own. I'm flattered and terribly sorry my work's polluting your mindspace. :) #sorrynotsorry

But please do be flattered, your chapters always rumble around in my head for ages. In fact, I’m going back to comment on something else in your latest update that it made me muse over,

When I read any serially-posting WIP, I have to read at least the prior chapter to make sure I am remembering the important stuff. It's never a chore though! My memory is terrible!

Yes!!! Sometimes if I read something where they haven’t updated in ages I have to almos5 read the whole story again. Which is like rediscovering it. It’s nice.

Super bad at remembering what actually happened. I started writing book reports on fics I've read so I can remember if I liked them or not, LOL
