Urgh.... I'm SO FAR BEHIND on all your stories. Go for the '?' -- yeah, some people might not click into it to begin with, but readers who are already enjoying the story will be pleased to know there's time/space left. The truly terrifying thing is when you're approaching the last couple chapters, and the author hasn't tied up even half the loose ends: it could be amazing and adroit, but too often it is rushed and unsatisfying. As a reader, the last 20% of a book is where my trust for the author really comes into play.
