Happy New Year!
It's been a good weekend! I hope everyone had a good time out partying and whatnot...
I had a pretty busy week of partying leading up to NYE. On Thursday I went out to Last Supper Club w/ Steve and Jenna and brought my buddy Jeffree along to celebrate Steve's bday. It was alot of fun, we stuck it out mostly downstairs in the DnB room (I would have rather been upstairs since they were playing house and it looked like people were having crazy fun up there). Jeff ended up heading out pretty early, but the rest of us stayed downstairs and had some drinks. I spent way too much money on booze lol.. The music was pretty good, tho the dj spinning alongside Zacharia really sucked at beatmatching.. oh well :P One of the perks of all that heavy bass was getting to race our drinks across the table (the bass was rattling things so much it actually caused a couple drinks to fall off and smash on the floor).
On Friday I met up w/ my old friend Courtney, she was back in town for the week for Xmas and NYE. It was good catching up with her over some tasty Mandarin Garden (it's our spot... We had some interesting conversations about God and religion (she's entered a very spiritual period, and while her views are a bit too constricted for my tastes, I'm glad that she's found her faith and developed a strong positive influence for her life). After dinner we went out to Element w/ Jeff for Scott Keith and Eva. I discovered to my delight that Element has draft beer (they hide it in the back room, so I never realized that had it!) and we got down to that. It was good seeing Courtney let lose and have some fun.
Saturday night was NYE (durr). I really had no idea what to do w/ myself the entire afternoon... finally I just decided to hit up my buddy John Vallejos' houseparty that I'd been invited to a couple days prior. Jeffree had stopped by to say hi again and hang out and I coaxed him to tag along w/ to check it out. They had a fun little shindig going on, w/ LOTS of booze. John was already his crazy drunken self that I remember so well from highschool lol. I even ran into an old buddy Tony I'd not seen since graduation. We didn't really stay super long, maybe an hour at most then we decided to go hang out w/ our friends Matt Fields and Darren up at some girls' houseparty in Bothell. I almost wish we'd decided to stay, the party up north was way too chill for my tastes of a good NYE party. We did have a fun time, played some drinking games (take a drink everytime they say love in an emo song!), smoked some sheesha in the garage out of a hookah one of the guys brought. It was fun, but it was sooooo chill. I don't think we had more than 10 people there, and there was no hard booze, just beer (which is usually cool,but that makes for chill nights unless ur doing beer bongs or somethin)
Sunday I woke up and my fears were confirmed that my ipod mini had died unexplicably Saturday (I still have no idea why).. I tried my damnedest to fix it, but couldn't figure out what went wrong. I ended up going out and buying the new ipod with video (30 gig) to replace it. I love the new pod, tho I'm kinda upset about the poor timing of the mini failing on me. I ended up watching Pi w/ Darla and Morgan and hanging out w/ them for awhile also last night... and now it's a new work week, and I start school tomorrow! yipes!!! ><
