I watched the last half hour of the Grammys last night. I found out that Herbie Hancock made a jazz album of Joni Mitchell songs because it won for Best Album. And I thought people always complain about the Grammys being out of touch. Seriously, I thought I was having a fever dream or something

Oh yeah, I did see that come across the crawl. So here's one more item for the list of things I learned and still don't understand:

- The Grammys has a crawl now. It is used to disseminate information about the Grammys that can be construed as news content, like for example, when a presidential candidate wins for Best Spoken Word.

Sheesh, when did awards shows become so complicated? Oh right, when I got old.
