I totally had an almost identical experience last year...only I was retarded and talked to the guy and ended up getting mugged. it sucks!! be totally careful with creepy guys.

You know it's important to point out that with strangers avoid eye contact, and ignore them. At most it'll piss them off. It's especially important to ignore them if your nervous, or scared. They'll pick that up right away and try to take advantage of you.

I'm not sure where you leave, or what part of town, but don't be afraid to have him trespassed, it's very simple, and if you see him again he'll be taken to jail. But most likely he just tries to use intimidation to get people to give him a couple bucks. Alot of people would rather give him the money to get him to leave, then ignore him.
