He had his surgery yesterday, to remove the abcess and put in the chest tube. They removed about a coke can's worth of puss from around his lung. The CT showed that his right lung was collapsed from the size of the abcess that had formed, and from the fluid built up around his lung. The infection is in two of the lobes. He is very sick right now.
