 Yesterday my brother went out and bought a beginning piano book (ignoring the fact that we already own like 5) and spent most of today methodically and very successfully going through it, with plans to be "mad nice at piano" by the end of the summer. I've always been jealous of how smart and intelligent my brother is and how he so effortlessly

This post basically personifies my relationship with my little sister. She has these amazing talents in so many areas that I wish I had that even though I encourage her to try things I'm interested in, I'm secretly hoping that she doesn't because I know she'll probably excel in them. And it's such an immature way of thinking, but I can't help but want something that's mine and mine alone.

I'm really proud of you, Ali, and I admired you a lot for being able to do what you did.
