Renaming question!

[groovy]

Basically, let's say I rename groovy to peenhead in a fit of madness. Now I want to change it back to groovy again. How do I do that?

I KNOW there is a way to do it. It involves two or three rename tokens but I just can't remember how.

I think you'd have to wait until "groovy" is purged, no? Assuming that it doesn't redirect to the new username.

hmmm, yes! i think i remember it worked in the way that, you'd have to delete "peenhead(aka groovy), wait until it is purged, create a new journal and rename or something. o.o

and in the process, lose the original journal and all the posts unless you back them up.

Yep, I think that would be the case if you had opted to redirect groovy to peenhead when renaming. You'd have to delete peenhead and wait till it's purged. But if you didn't opt to redirect, you can keep peenhead active until groovy is purged, and you'll have all of your entries in tact when you rename back to groovy.

lol I never had an excuse to type "peenhead" so many times before...

Well, it's been answered already but yeah, I think you'll have to wait till they purge your username and then make a big announcement about how they've purged a gazillion usernames.
