history: http://marvel-movies.wikia.com/wiki/Charles_Xavier#X-Men:_First_Class

personality: He is a shameless flirt, though his way of flirting is perhaps a bit odd compared to how most men would go about it. Going on about genetic mutations and using it in the end to flatter a woman into bed with him seems to get the job done, but it not exactly the most usual way of doing things. He is not afraid to out right state that he can get a lady into bed with him either, switching quickly back to his flattery of said woman's genetics to charm her into finding it endearing rather than overly egotistical. Drinking seems to go hand in hand with his flirtatious nature, which he does plenty of, probably a bit too much honestly.

He is also extremely intelligent... yet at the same time rather naive in his view of the world. These two things seem to clash at points for him, wanting a world where mutant kind can live among their normal human counterparts, yet having way too much faith in them. He feels that humanity merely doesn't understand them and thus their fear will ultimately have them trying to hurt mutants but that it isn't a reason to in turn try to hurt them back. Violence begetting violence will not make a tolerable world in his eyes. There is a time for violence, that much he can admit, but not when they're trying to show people mutants are and can fit into society like everyone else. And for all that he can read the minds of people, he still seems at times to not know how to keep from shoving his foot down his own throat when speaking to them.

Charles is quite motherly/fatherly of others, most likely from not really having the proper attention of his own parents when he was growing up. Or if we want to speculate that his childhood is anything like the comics tell, his father passed away and his mother remarried to a man who was barely around as well as had a son who disliked Charles and abused him. His stepbrother ended up finding out what he was and it caused more of a rift between them if not more abuse for sure, so that could be why part of him wants to be just like humans, normal, to fit in so he doesn't have to face the hate and fear that humans would show someone different like him. Why he's so insistent Raven doesn't let her real form show through. But this is of course just speculation as it's never touched upon in the movie canon. But the movie does hint at Charles parents probably not being too overly active in his day to day life, having the maids take care of him most likely. So he tries his best to be something his parents could never be for him. Because of this he's patient and understanding of those around him, to a point, nurturing them and showing them how to be the best they can. He does also know how to be a disapproving father figure as well, make no mistake about that.

abilities/powers: Plain and simple he's a telepath. He can read minds, offer suggestions to the brain or control people for periods of time, trick the mind into believing things (like that someone is not there for example), and wipe the mind of memories. If not blur them to a point of not being very clear or helpful. It's also shown he can trigger the mind to put someone to sleep as well. While in the mind of someone he can see and hear from their point of view, as well as feel their pain. He seems to focus his ability better when he places two fingers against the side of his temple, but it's not always necessary.

He'll be limited only by people of course stating they don't wish for me to use his powers on their characters. And if anything is robotic in nature or for the most part not human/mutant he probably won't be able to read their minds, or find them very fuzzy and unreadable for the most part.

So it's been a week and yet no one can account for anyone that actually lives in this city? Are we all truly not from here? There has to be some reason for it, but so far there's no sense to what is going on, why, how, where. Any of it.

[He's walking, evident by the slight shaking of the camera view, and the background changing behind him. Charles will run a hand through his hair and look off around him for a moment, before blue eyes focus on the phone again.]

Even more unfathomable is the fact that we come from different worlds... times... and there is truth to it all, as unbelievable as it should be. [Because he didn't waste a moment making sure people weren't trying to pull his leg when they said they weren't from Earth. Or from a year not his own. There had been truth to their words, easy enough to find that out with his powers. And yet he couldn't feel any others besides who was already here. But none being natives. Why? What had happened? It looked like one moment there had been people here and then suddenly they vanished, no trace, just up and gone, leaving everything perfect, as if they'd be back in a moment.]

More importantly, I hope we can set aside any differences to work together to figure out what is happening and get back to our own homes. [If possible.] We will certainly get much more accomplished this way.

third person sample:
Since awakening in this city, naked and in a morgue no less, Charles had found it different than what he was used to. Not in the sense that he had to 'steal', he liked to think of it as borrowing really, things to have clothing and a place to stay and food, etc. But more the way people responded to him, to others who were 'different'. Note even mutants, or they weren't considered that in their own worlds at least. But people were more in awe or curious, than frightened and bigots towards him and others. It was refreshing to say the least. Not that he hadn't experienced that before, with Moira and even the agent who'd taken them in before, but here it just seemed that for the majority, people accepted one another. For better or worse.

Maybe it was because they had no choice, because all they had was one another in this city until they figured out what had happened. What could happen. And how to get home. Charles only wished there was a way to take this mindset and bring it back home with him, yet he knew it could never be so easy. Even here, he didn't doubt that there would be eventual turmoil over powers and differences and the like, there always was in some way... but hopefully never to the point where there would be one side pitted against the other. It should never be that way as far as he was concerned.

Though his mind will wander, wondering for the millionth time if everyone is alright back home at the mansion. If Erik is handling the children right, if Moira is still there, helping. If Raven is worried about where he's gone to. That Alex and Sean haven't broken anything expensive (again). Random thoughts, ranging from important to mundane, yet he can't help it. He wonders most often if they've gone to stop Shaw and if so, if everyone is safe. If Erik is safe... alive. He knew Erik would do everything to kill Shaw, even if it meant dying in the process. This thought alone had him feeling more resolute that he had to find a way back, he had to help them, but first he had to help himself and everyone here.

case no: (03-60-44) ... I just thought they looked nice together idk >_>
