You must believe in that whole 'go big or go home' theory. Most people, within five minutes of being here, don't suggest trying the crazy. At least not out loud.

I've been here six hours and noted that the risks would be appreciable. Is that better?

'Go big or go home'.

More other people's tactic than mine, but occasionally necessary.

It was a figure of speech. Especially considering it typically takes longer than five minutes to get a drink and a seat at one of the bars in this city.

Almost everyone has to decide whether to go big or go home at some point. Have you ever actually seen someone rip a hole in the fabric of reality?

And rooms above it. Glad to hear I'm averaging above the norm.

If deciding to go home were an option, I'd have taken it without needing to suggest going big. And no, not yet. It's something of a shock to discover the possibility is there and in the hands of teenagers.

I trust you implicitly and completely and bow to your greater experience. I'll run any thoughts on escape by you before even contemplating them in future.

If you tell me your name.

[ She pauses - always the distrust, the automatic hesitance as long as she's not cursed (and even then, often enough.) ]

Katniss.

[ Everdeen. But this isn't Panem where everyone already knows her so as always she takes up the luxury of not disclosing her own full name, despite the new arrival giving his own.

Why do you look like him? ]
