So last Friday, the perpetually near-death Betta named Shiny finally went to the big fishtank in the sky. I noticed he was dead but didn't say anything in front of her so she wouldnt see him all white and dead and stuff. Oh My God! She's four? I can't believe that. That means I've known you here for almost four years because she was just a little thing when I started reading.

I hope she has a wonderful birthday party.

Kids are resilliant and not too observent. My first death was my grandparents dog when I was about 3 and, even though I went to their house every day, it was almost a week until I realized Puddy was gone (OK, it was short for Puddles which wasn't that much better of a name).

Awwww, that's so cute that she was more confused by fishy heaven then sad that her fishy wasn't here no more. Wow, I can't believe your little girl is already four!!! :) They sure do grow up fast.
