Physical Appearance: Claudia is slender, young woman who stands 5'7". With chin length red hair, brow eyes and pale skin, she really doesn't have to do much with her appearance to stand out - but she does with the clothing she wears. She likes to think of her style as unique, but it's actually a mix between punk and rock - but totally fits her personality. She'll be arriving in a pair of black skinny jeans, a red henley, a black Ramones t-shirt, a mid waist red zip up hoodie, a silver studded belt, converse shoes, several different bracelets (black leather cuff, numerous different colored jelly bracelets), two silver rings on her right hand and three on her left. She's also bringing her iPod which is full of music goodness (David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Bush, Nirvana, Hole and The Killers to just name a few).
Personality: Claudia has been described as brash, rude, antisocial and impulsive. While it is in a way true, it is far from being entirely accurate. She is brash and impulsive and she has a habit of rushing into things without fully thinking them through - like the time she thought it would be a good idea to use Alessandro Volta's lab coat and accompanying safety goggles. She ended up getting stuck to one of the warehouse beams due to the coat's biomagnetic attraction and was saved by Artie's ingenuity from being crushes to death by the numerous amounts of metallic objects it kept attracting. Most of the time though, her brains help her get out of any trouble she might find herself in and if it doesn't, she kind of relies on her colleagues to help her out. She can be rude, as she has no problem telling people what she really thinks them, like when she straight out tells Lena that she basically sucks after it came out that Lena had been masquerading as Claudia (though it wasn't her fault, she'd been under mind control). Or even the first time she met Lena and told her she didn't like her, even though at that point in time she had no reason not to. She's even been known to insert herself into people's chess games without their permission and make their moves for them.
She doesn't really relate to people her own age, and maybe that's where the anti-social part came from. She doesn't think the way people her own age do, and she doesn't really find things they find interesting well... interesting. She's interested in computers and electronics and would much prefer hacking into something than gossiping over celebrities. She does enjoy the company of others though and would seriously pick company over being alone. When she allows people to get to know her, she's very witty and has a great sense of humor. She's able to lighten a moment with a witty quip, and she's very with pop culture and has no problem referencing it all the time. She introduced herself to Mrs. Fredrick as Claudia Donovan, Warehouse 13, the Next Generation while holding her left hand up in the vulcan salute. She enjoys talking and does tend to ramble on when she's nervous. This nervousness normally occurs around boys, or more specifically 'hot' boys - such as her former boyfriend Todd when she first met him.
While she likes to think that she's self-reliant and independent, she really does need the approval of her colleagues - mainly from Artie and Pete, whom she sees as a father and a brother figure.This is probably due to the fact that for the longest time she didn't have any sort of family and had to do everything for herself. She sees the Warehouse and those who she works with as her family and would do anything for them, even if she likes to bicker and pick on them. Being part of the Warehouse 'family' has been extremely good for Claudia, and she's grown greatly as a person because of it. She's become more outgoing and tends to think of others before herself.
She is seriously intelligent, which most people don't know when they meet her... Or even after they've known her for a while. Her IQ is genius level, and even though she's never gone to college, she has a way with computers and electronics in general. This is the reason she has become the Warehouse Tech Girl. She's proud of her skills and often boasts about having 'mad' hacker skills. She loves trying to update the seriously outdated warehouse technology and sometimes gets in trouble when Artie catches her. Normally though, her updates help the warehouse out more than Artie would obviously ever admit.
Abilities and Skills: See last paragraph of personality. She's also super crazy suave when it comes to knowing her pop culture.
Sample: Studying one of the terminals, Claudia reached up scratching her cheek. She was really surprised that it was actually still working. The whole thing looked like it was about to fall apart! It was way worse than anything she had ever fixed up at the warehouse, and that was sayin' something!
With a determined nod, she reached for one of the tools she'd borrowed from one of the mechanics and quickly set about fixing the terminal. She didn't know if she was actually allowed to do something like that, but pffffffffft. It was falling apart! In her opinion they should totally thank her. And possibly pay her.
An hour later, she leaned back, wiping her hair out of her face with the back of her hand. Beaming, she looked at the newly improved terminal and rose to her feet. Wiping her hands on the back of her jeans, she looked it over once more, making sure she'd reattached everything. Looked like it. Wires all in place? Check. No extra left over pieces? Check! Awesome! Now all that was left was to try it out.
Still grinning, she swaggered around to the front of it, and with very exaggerated moves, flipped it on. Waiting, she stared at it, and then... There was a loud POP and the whole area was bathed in complete darkness.
"Ah CRAP!"
