Montreal is pretty bilingual in some parts, especially downtown. If you have a basic grasp on the language you should do fine. c:

If you do end up getting the job I`d love to bring to you China town and get some shrimp dumplings. I practically live off them sob :c

Haha well I'm trying to improve my French, so I'll try to avoid the bilingual parts...

I'd suggest not to get a place in the NDG area then. That's as Anglo as you can get.

Aha. Y-yush. I don't see why not. c:

Late reply is late but I hope everything went well with that paper.

I'm from Montreal born and raised (almost never stepped out of it) and all I can tell you is that: if you stick more to the west parts you'll be okay with english only. Downtown is good too. On the east side of the city people will expect you to talk french to them. So choose your side carefully XD.

Also our bums are weird. Don't look at them in the eyes. :(

Haha thank you, I was just whining.

Well, the whole reason I'm going on this exchange is to get a French-speaking job (yeah I know, why would I go to a bilingual city?!), so the east side would be better? What's the east side like??

I never look bums in the eye, period. Once I did and he was eating a takeout container. So....I learned my lesson.
