I don't like dubs because it seems like most american VAs sound the same in every damn role they're in: !Vegeta Ryuk I'm talkin to you! And because it doesn't seem to be as good quality. Once in a while though, a dub does it right, like Cowboy Bebop.

that's the thing though. no dub will be exactly like the original. most people aren't aware of it but Asian countries are terrible dubbers. their take on American shows are awful. but no one cares. i just think that more people should give dub a chance since it's not as awful as people like to imagine.

I'm dating a Canadian. The take of Canada as a country, makes me roffle so hard. More so than American, because maybe I'm used to American Stereotypes? idk i mean. the series is written by a Japanese guy who only knows his history from wiki or something. the Japanese are not world-renown for their history skills. but idk. i mean, i like it to an extent that i'll still cosplay from it only because there are fabulous old-world designs and it feeds my history nerdness.

Agreed. I had an arguement with a friend of mine about something like this.

I personally loved the dubbed voice because I thought it was adorable. She said it sounded terrible because it didn't 'suit' his personality. She thought that the voice sounded too polite for Sealand. I wasn't mad that she thought that way because ,if that's her opinion so be it. What annoyed me the most was that she didn't give it a chance. She quickly thought that ALL of the voice actor sucked and didn't give a second thought. A lot of voice actors have trouble with their role at first but ,as time goes on, they eventually get better and better. They really shouldn't be so harsh about it. Also, there is always the Japanese track.

dude exactly. \: i mean like, even if the voice isn't how you imagined it, American voice actors aren't Japanese so it's not gonna be exactly the same and i hate people who think if it's not, it's terrible. B| and then just don't give the rest of the series a chance. at least your friend didn't like it because she thought it wasn't Sealand-y enough, everyone i know didn't like it because he didn't go "DESU YO.' B|

and besides, it being translated in English means that you can get the DVDs and WATCH IT IN JAPANESE WITH SUBS. THERE'S AN OPTION FOR THAT NOW.
