As a Unitarian, one of the things that gives me most hope for and pride in my religion is that we can laugh at ourselves. I firmly believe that a people who can realize that what's important to them can look kinda silly, and further more that THAT'S OK, will not fall into the traps that have waylaid so many other groups. As long as we still have songs about unending committees in the hymnal we're doing good.
