The weather report is calling for a storm. Ice and snow is not the apocalypse, it's just weather. You do not need six loaves of bread for an ice storm.

You'd think there'd never been winter here before. I mean, really.

Have you been in DC for an ice thing, Alix? We're not equipped to deal with rain, much less anything frozen.

It's not the weather so much as the way the city shuts down that has us buying bread and milk and bottled water in bulk.

...but still. Six loaves? It'd go bad before you could ever hope to eat that much bread.

I'm buying coffee. And milk. And bottled water. And stuff for chili. I'm not buying six loaves of bread.

The coffee I approve of, and the chili. The milk I can understand. So you're OK. But I got run over in the store last night by some yahoo with an cartful of bread, milk, and peanut butter. Did he suddenly become five? I just don't get it.
