So, What's Your Major?

What should I have studied? The internet can tell me with a 45 question quiz! A more interesting question is the intent of a major. Is the quiz telling me what I would enjoy, what subject I would have been good at, or what would have been best for me to have studied?

What the test tells me is that the test writer has no idea what majoring in most (if any) of those fields actually involves.

I love it! The test told me I should have majored in English, just because I like to read and write! It's the only language I communicate in, so I figured I'd get enough practice without the need to devote 4 years to intensive study of it, followed by who knows what career.

They should have had a question about whether I liked to flip burgers and deal with obese bored customers, that would have been a better determining factor in whether I should have majored in English. :-)

But seriously ... For you, I think the test gave a good description of your interests - you're drawn to math and engineering, and you love to play with words and meanings. I'm just surprised you scored as high as you did on dance! In terms of picking a major, the test isn't that helpful - interests aren't enough in deciding what training would best serve a person's life goals. You chose well (imho).
