Blood and Ink

Had the last week off. Watched a ridiculous number of movies (more on that later). I'd say "blood and ink" typified my week, as there was much blood and DIY tattooing ( Read more... )

I wanna see pics. *wants more tats*

Also: Go, Scooter! :D Is she planning on creating a workout routine beforehand? It's really, really helpful in meeting the minimum standards; something I should have focused on before I went to my basic. (And you want to join up with her, or just help her train for basic?)

I'll upload the tat pics soon! As for Scooter, she created a routine based on the minimum standards (which basically includes lots o'running, sit ups and the like).

I was really tempted to look into joining myself, but ultimately decided I needed to focus on getting into grad school for photography.

The thing is that I know photography is what I really want to do, but I'm scared I'll be a total failure at it, so I keep convincing myself that I really want to do these other things (like mortuary school o.O). But really, what I'm doing is putting off ever trying what I really want to do, because as long as I haven't tried I haven't failed either, y'know?

What made you decide to join? Is it tough being a woman in the military?

That's really good - she needs to stick to it, and if she doesn't, give her a kick in the rump. It *will* help her a lot.

I found out graphic art design just wasn't for me, had a mental breakdown while working for Disney about my future and after I got home to San Antonio I went 'fuck it.' I wasn't getting anywhere with my two part time jobs and, hey, I'm the product of two pollywogs. The military is/isn't for me, I've found. I'm pretty sure I'd be fairing better, emotionally, if it weren't for the mechanic's subculture I'm in (which is UGG UGG MAN JOB RAAAA, the level's of sensitivity and intelligence are a little lacking here).
I still like it, even if I have a few issues with authority. XD

I win the award for the most delayed response EVER. Yeah, she's sticking to it, much better than I am at this point.

Well, doubts aside I'm glad you're still mostly liking it. It seems I've met so many women lately online who are/were in the military. Maybe that's a Transformers fandom thing?
