actually, maybe we could even see a movie tonight or something! or tomorrow night. After that, my grandparents are coming into town for alix's middle school graduation so I probably won't be as free at night.

mm, maybe tonight. depends on when i get home (today, i'm getting home later than usual). but i'll give you a call when i do get home.
but if tonight doesn't work out, tomorrow and wednesday i've already got stuff going on, but thursday could work.

do you know how to sail too? (though heh, even with my certification, i feel like saying "i know how to sail" is presumptuous. i'm definitely still very much a beginner).

well, I LIKE to sail. I know the basics, like the principle behind tacking and the whole "red right returning" deal. I can get myself accross a lake and back without drowning. (I usually don't require rescuing unless the waves are more than a foot high) I actually almost decided to go to St. Mary's College of MD b/c they have an amazing offshore sailing team i was interested in.

Yeah, it sounds like you're about where I am, though I feel like you've been out more than me. I actually have yet to go out by myself - all the boats I've sailed are like, 3-4 person size. (The plan is to amend that this summer :P).

The certification thingy was more of a help in the terminology department...we had to take a written test.

So you know what we should do? - go sailing sometime :D
