I commented on Cora's post and wanted to share with others (JARED) who I think would benefit from my hard learned lessons. Because I care about them (01NX) and want them to be happy in RL

Online Multi-player games are crack. Pure crack. Like 'hook yourself in a pink goo with wires sticking out all over your body in a matrix pod' crack as any players or ex-players will tell ya. ;)
hehe :) I started playing WoW when i was in the process of paying off a 11K debit. I spend $15 a month for WoW and I spend a min of $40 a night when i go out and I was going out 3 to 4 nights a week. It worked well for me. I do continue to play but I don't really get in to it as much as some people. I still hold a job, i have have real friends outside the video game and my relationship is not in jeopardy because of it (he plays too)
I do know people who are WoW widows or have lost jobs because of the game tho' I really do find it fascinating. I wonder if there is a study on the whole video game thing.
I was just on the ihasahotdog.com and icanhascheezburger.com yesterday. So frickin' funny. Some are pretty bad, but you get the occasional kick arse ones!
I have the addictive personality too, but also can control it if I want to. It's just the matter of knowing when I should want to or not. LOL
Totally. LOL Email and Networking websites are the new addiction and it's not just for kids anymore! It's addictive to all age groups! Greeeeaaaaaaat! :P
Sometimes I wonder if it's a blessing in disguise that my motherboard AGP slot suddenly stopped working (I think that's the problem) and will no longer recognize any video card. I was really, really into Halo multiplayer online.
Your question/observation is actually very similar to one that some smokers such as myself contemplate when thinking of quitting. What the hell do people do on breaks and in all those little pockets and bubbles of 5-15 minutes throughout the day?

WOW is a ton of fun, it's just managing it. That's where 99% of the people get into trouble.
