I found this handy guide: http://www.tsa.gov/311/. (Thank goodness I used Google before telling you to separate your travel bottles into different bags; apparently you only get one bag for that purpose, with a 1-quart limit on the bag size.) I would assume that Canada and the US have harmonized their bullcrap regulations. I haven't traveled by plane since... uhhh... 2003?! And even though it was post-9/11 I don't recall being harassed or delayed.

Oh for the good old days when I used to routinely fly from Louisiana to RI with all my shit crammed into gallon-size ziplocks, in the original large-size containers from my bathroom. :P

It's good to know I can't bring meat cleavers or swords on my carry on.

They should be. Just remember to put them all in a Ziploc, so security doesn't have to go through your stuff to find them.
