a tale of woe and tuna

ok....so i tried the tuna tonight.....and i was blissfully eating when i curiously asked jeff whether or not they cooked the tuna before putting it in the can....just a curious question from the tuna virgin....expecting a yes, i got an "i don't know, maybe" and that's when the tuna hit the fan....i spit it out into the toilet....to the great ( Read more... )

Canning is done by boiling, I think it is cooked before it goes in the can, and then cooked once again after it is in the can to preserve it. Can tuna should have a shelf life of 5 years.

i kind of feel like a dunce now.....i should have known that...considering my mom and i can veggies all the time and we always boil them first...duh! and also matt was telling me he eats it all the time...and he's not dead or poisoned.....i have way too many weird food hang ups.
