omg pink pearl apples have arrived. bay area people, go to your local farmer's market NOW (you probably won't find them in stores), and buy like 5 pounds of them. I pay $2/ pound organic. They have a ridiculously short season, and you probably won't get them again 'til next year.

I take it they taste better than normal apples?

Well, to a degree. They taste like the slightly more special version of a tart green apple. It's like there's a smooth fabulousness intertwined with the generic apple tartness (it's mostly about the color).
