George-do you usually attend the events at your theatre, or do you generally try to avoid them to give space to the visiting authors/artists? Or does it depend on the event? I live nowhere near NM so cannot attend any of these cool events-was just wondering.
I attend almost all the special events at the JCC, unless I am out of town. In many cases I interview the writer myself, or introduce the guest. But even when someone else handles those duties, I am usually in the audience.
I hope you see this. 11 years ago...today my dad passed away after a 10 year battle with spinal cancer. He was an active man and at the end he was a parapeligic in a wheel chair with his children and his wife bathing him....among other things not needed to be desribed because if you have or have known someone in the position you know what ge went through.
He was a science fiction amd fantasy fanatic. He majored in biology and chemistry at chapel hill and was a physical therapist that eventually owned his own company.
He introduced me to you. He introduced me to "Beauty and the Beast" first. Then it went from there. I truly love the Ice Dragon story.
I promised him I would finish reading what he called your opus. And I have every intention on doing that.
Thank you for putting so many great works out there that helped my father and I bond. I have many great memories thanks to your writing.

Mercury was used in the processing of felt hats and hatters would inhale that poison slowly over time, making them go mad.

P.S. The Alice in Wonderland setting should make for some cool short stories. I'll look for it next time I'm at B&N.
