ICU stay

Aug 24, 2005 19:07

I've been writing this little by little for the past couple of weeks so that I didn't forget what I went through while I was in ICU. I'm sure there are a ton of things I missed but I wrote down what I could. I'm also the worlds worst writer and horrible at making coherant thoughts at times so you don't have to read it.

Very long story )

Your story had me in tears... I can't imagine going through so much after giving birth and having to be separated from my child. That must have been so frightening for you. I'm glad you're doing better!

I'm sorry. :( I didn't mean for it to make anyone else cry.

I need a mom to hang out with. Would you wanna meet up sometime? I know it's weird meeting people from the internet but we live so close, it's almost a shame not to take the opportunity to meet, you know?

I would love to! I've been going insane with no adults to talk to during the day. Curt's school is really clique-y and everyone already knows each other so I haven't really met any other moms there. Not to mention they're all like 10 years older than me :) What days/times work best for you?

I could have written that :o( It is so eerie to me how we've been thru the exact same thing basically...though oddly i never had the whistling while breathing, and my EJ was down to 25% (seems like I would have had whistley breathing if my EJ was even lower than yours?) THen again maybe I DID have it b/c honestly it's ALL such a blur. UGH ( ... )

Oh my gosh, Jenni, you almost made me cry. How scary. And even scarier that it got misdiagnosed and brushed off by so many doctors!! Wow. I'm so glad you listened to your body.

That's awful that you are still bruised from the IV. Yuck! Is that because of one of the drugs or something? I know that that Lovenox makes people bruise horribly. Tim had to give himself injections of it for a week and he had bruises all over his body, all he'd have to do it bump against something and he'd bruise so bad. He looked like I beat him.

I'm glad you're doing somewhat better now, though. :) You're tough.

Man, that's awful to ignore a patient for so long!! That had to have been painful- exactly what you needed on top of everything else, right?

God, I can't imagine having to go through this, and I see now why you were so worried about me when I was having trouble breathing in the hospital... :( *hugs you tight*
