Ooooh! Polls are fun!

Poll project_mercy made me do it!

*My apologies to any of you that had originally stated that you liked blankets, but didn't need them, as there was NO PLACE FOR YOU in this poll. But feel free to add your 20 cents in the comments, and maybe I'll find a reason to put you all under the microscope next round :)

I think the people who answered "yes" should also fill out the bottom poll, since many of the things would apply to them as well.

Also, when I checked the stuffed animal box I wanted to say that it should also be interpreted to include a blankie in the general stuffed animal category - although, while I prefer to sleep with my childhood blankie, any blanket, sweatshirt, or bunched up bit of fabric will do. I just need something under my arm, and most stuffed animals aren't the right shape... though, Lenny seems to have taken up residence in my bed for some reason.

And as if this comment were not already long and rambly enough, I think you should post the results of these surveys, lab-report-style.

I think I got much more interesting results from the first poll, but then again, I couldn't find a way to get all the data I wanted from the second poll without taking half a work day to put the damn thing together. *Shrug*

And there was a reason why I only asked the "No blanket needed" people all those extra questions. It was obvious to me that those who NEED blankets, needed them for different reasons. So I was trying to figure out if the people who don't need blankets all had a unifying theme in their sleep style, or if they were ALSO widely split. Do you know what I mean?

All results, interesting or no, can be written up humorously in mock-lab-report style, is all I'm saying. : )

And yeah, I know what you mean.

Sleep styles are one of those fascinating things about humanity. But people who *need* blankets may also need a stuffed animal or something as well... you're right, half a day would be needed to construct a truly comprehensive sleep styles survey.

I need a sheet, at least, and a stuffed animal. In lieu of a stuffed animal, I generally find myself hugging a corner of the pillow when I wake up.

Thing is, the stuffed animal I generally use is a stuffed kitty that I put an old broken clubbing collar with fake diamonds on. It looks cute, but sometimes I wake up with awful scratches.

There's a big difference between being a plushophile and needing to glom onto something in the evening.

I like having a blanket, but it's totally not a requirement unless it's cold. I like having at least a sheet, but that too can be optional if it's stiflingly, muggy-hot and anything touching me feels too heavy. And if I have both a sheet and a blanket, and I get just a tiny bit too warm, I'll stick a foot out and nothing else. I like sleeping with someone, but I don't have to; the bed feels a bit empty, but it's not a heartbreaking sort of feeling. I'm comfortable being by myself. (I'm an only child, if that helps.)

Do you know what lives under the bed!? I can't let my feet or arms hang off the edge cause the scary monsters will grab them and pull me under!
(a carry over from childhood:)

i also second this. i hate it when any part hangs over the bed... something might grab it. or another scenario is that some toes will be sticking over and something will start to nibble on them... sssscary >_

Ooohh!!! Yep...that's what the sheet protection is for...so those pesky toe nibblers stay away!
