So, in mid-December I broke down and ordered a new iPhone online. I still have the first generation iPhone and I decided it was time to have an iPhone 4. ( here's where things go awry.... )
Okay, so while this is sit-com worthy hysterical, why not just tell AT&T that because they're unwilling to help you and waive the upgrade fee that you're going to switch to Verizon. Usually, they will jump through rings of fire to retain your business.
And if they still say FU - then switch and never look back :)
I noted while on the phone with them today that they were in imminent danger of losing my business, and the woman acknowledged that and confirmed (after putting me on hold for another 10 minutes) there was still nothing she could do but open a grievance case on my behalf, which would be responded to within 72 hours.
I failed to bring up that I was director of IT for a 300+ workstation division at the University of Colorado and that they were creating a sense that I am unable to trust Apple to select reliable business partners.... :(
Love my Droid. And the good IPhone apps are making their way on Droid gradually. I have the option to switch to the IPhone when it comes out, but I won't because I love the droid.

Seriously, that's absurd. Though, really... they're just following their policies and FedEx should be maimed.

But my smartphone is an Android, and I absolutely love it. No desire at all to get an iPhone.
