I've become so erratic (and largely absent) with respect to LJ that I'm going to celebrate eight years of blogging a week early. Eight years ago, next week, I was frantic about wrapping up my graduate program

Congrats, I'm coming up on year 10 here myself and find some of the same issues. LJ never really pivoted as MySpace, Facebook and G+ and others came of age. It's a shame.
