Safe is really interesting, ey. And by really interesting I mean INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING. Everything! Even/especially the cinematography! Seems to be designed to make your skin crrrrraaaaaaaawwwwwlllll. So slooooow. And ominous. But. Simultaneously sort of boring. I really like that. It really does doesn't it. I never knew it was from 1995 either until I got googling while watching it last night...it was a late late late release apparently. My friend Vicks saw it on her own in Melbourne at the cinema and was depressed for days. I saw Pink Flamingos the other day...never have I seen a film with a combination of both disgusting obscurity and absolute hilarity. It really had the best of both worlds. I'm going to see partyline at maggotville tonight...are you going?
