I apologize in advance for any offense, because I have only had experience with a single solitary group, but if they are even the *slightest* indication of any other groups out there, SCA heavy fighting is absolute shit. As in garbage. Every time I watch it I can't help but think of how much of a joke it seems. If they suddenly were transported into actual medieval times and had to fight, they certainly wouldn't last very long.

I know it's supposed to be for fun, which is why I keep to myself. But for fuck sake, at least have the decency to even *attempt* to be remotely accurate. =(

In many cases, it depends on what you define as accurate. If you want steel-blade combat, then find a group that does that. If you want full-force, full-contact then perhaps SCA heavy is more your thing.
