Disneyland this weekend! We leave on the 19th and stay til the 24th. We're staying a few miles from the joint, so we got a pretty good rated hotel. Marie's looking forward to some sunshine and hotel swimming pools. We've been hunkered under rain jackets for 6 months, it seems. The kids seem stoked about the rides. Hopefully they're tall ( Read more... )

Here is the height requirements for the rides at Disneyland and California Adventure. http://allears.net/dlr/tp/dlr_rr.htm That way you can prepare them for the rides they might not be tall enough for...much better than the disappointment of finding out in line!

Here is the link for Fastpass. http://allears.net/dlr/tp/fastpass.htm It is the same for all Disney parks. LEARN IT...USE IT!!! This is the most important thing you can do.

Here is the link for the best Disney message boards if you have any questions. Now if you were going to WDW you could just ask me. :) But since I have only been to Disneyland once in the last few years you can check here. http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=26

Just remember with the right attitude you can have just as much fun as your boys will!

If you go across to California Adventure, the best ride there is Soaring Over California. If you decide to ride the big coaster, California Screamin', trust me, ride in the first car. It's a safety issue - insider tip.

Disneyland will take the most time, so spend your longest day there. CA Adv. is kinda boring with less attractions.

You know what, I went to Disneyland a few years back, with NO kids, and I had a fantastic time. It's really impressive, all the effort that goes into making customers happy there. And I REALLY didn't think I would like it that much.

As far as food goes, there's a subway just outside the park, we brought in subs once.

We went 3 days in a row, and our idea was to buy food once a day, as we felt like it, to add to the experience. That worked well for us, and I didn't find it TOO TOO expensive...
