Stories

So when I'm not subsisting on beer and my wife's sweet cooking, I live on stories.  It's time I read some more.  If you've never written one, give it a shot.  If it's been ages, pick up the pen again.  Doesn't have to be LARP related, but those are awesome too.

Get to it :)

When I pick up the pen it's to write music. I can write music far better than I write words. I'll make you a deal; you write me a song and then I'll write you a story.

In the meantime, how about you continue to amaze me with your words and I'll continue to do whatever the heck it is I do for you with my notes? :-)

one upon a time there was a little sausage; then one day he was cooked and eaten. The End

Give me until after Madrigal and I'll try to work on something.

Once upon a time, I wrote a story. Some people read it, others did not. I felt accomplished. The end ( ... )

The tide sweeps in
Bringing with it the broken hull of a ship lost at sea
The tattered sail
The broken mast
The twisted, water-choked beams
The remnants of...something.

The tide sweeps in
Bringing with it a relentless tearing down of the shoreline
Beating back of a seawall
But also more silt to create a sandy beach

The tide sweeps in
Carrying in its wake a surfer
Bountiful harvest for the gulls
White-capped peaks, a liquid mountain, ever flowing, ever changing,
a delight to a child’s eyes.
Gleeful child, playing on the beach, building
A sand castle? Frantically digging moats, or putting up walls
Before the surf tears it down. Inevitable.

The tide sweeps in
Bringing with it change, destruction and rebirth
Death, life, chaos, relentless order

The tide sweeps in
And in the end, when all that is to come has come
The tide turns around, and sweeps back out again.
